A statue of Quirke can be seen in the area where the London Museum is. Tom frequently swears by him during the film.

He was later mentioned by Tom in the "End of the Ancient" bonus feature on the film's DVD and Blu-ray release.

  • Quirke is named after Philip Reeve's friend Nick Quirke (best known for his work with Brighton’s Festival Shakespeare Company).[2]
